Film Industry
 The historic seafaring Town of Lunenburg features architectural delights dating from 1753. "Old Town" Lunenburg is a National Historic District, an UNESCO World Heritage site, and a film-friendly community.
 Simon Birch, the 1998 Disney feature, was filmed in Lunenburg. This poignant feature film starred Jim Carrey and Ashley Judd. Two If by Sea
Two If By Sea, starring Sandra Bullock & Denis Leary, was shot entirely on location in Nova Scotia, with substantial filming in Lunenburg.
 Lunenburg is proud to be the production and filming base for the feature film, Dolores Claiborne based on the Stephen King novel and starring Christopher Plummer, Kathy Bates, and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
 Blue Moon, The Pit Pony and The Secret, made for television movies, were shot on our colourful waterfront.
 Numerous local, national and international television advertisements and films have also been shot in Lunenburg. The Bounty, used in the famous classic movie Mutiny on the Bounty, starring Marlon Brando and Trevor Howard, was built in Lunenburg in the 1960s, and the tall ship still visits Lunenburg Harbour. Visit HMS Bounty, the replica of the famous 18th century tall ship, at her home port in Battleship Cove, Massachusetts.
 Lunenburg offers the film industry a visual and location versatility that includes federally designated heritage properties rich in unique architectural detail, rocky coastlines, marine settings, rich farmland, beautiful beaches and a harbour dotted with tall ships and fishing vessels.
